Many things can put a huge hole in wild camping trips and after taking a long shot on mother nature being nice for a change (yeah right!), I took a train up to Matlock which is in walking distance of the Peak District National Park for a few nights of no tent wild camping.

The weather was a little messy on the first night, but that was nothing compared to what was waiting for me on day 2.

Not one to easily admit defeat I’ll put up with a lot just to have a night out, although the painful massive chunks of hail stones hitting my head made my mind up to call off the second night (you can see what I mean in the video).
