Either for personal achievement, giving passes by a good laugh or just plain outdoing the neighbors, the moment the white stuff starts to hit the ground the urge to whack up a giant snowman is on.
Giving it your all with the possible help of a few friends can make a difference to what you end up with but what if the snowman making process was done on an industrial scale?
The impressive snowman pictured above is the current Guinness world record holder for the tallest snowman built yet. Standing at 122 foot 1 inch high it took a group of residents from Bethel, Maine in the United States a whole month to complete.
This was way back in February 2008 and its a surprise that no one has beaten this record in the last 6 years.
To be honest if there was a record for the scariest snowman ever built, this ones sheer size and the menacing look on its face has to be a contender. Imagining this thing lumbering after you on a dark night is the stuff cheese dreams are made of 🙂
Not There Yet
Waking up to snow on the ground gave me some hope this morning but with only just enough for a quick snowball fight I’m hoping to see a decent amount over the next week.
Failing that I’ll just have to break out the cold weather gear and get off to a bit of high ground for a few days camping. Don’t need much of an excuse to head out and if the snow won’t come to me it’ll have to be done.
If the look of horror on Michelle’s face is anything to go by when I mentioned shooting off for a bit of winter camping this morning, this is defiantly going to be a solo trip.
