Things happen its just the way the universe works and we all hope that its never going to be us, we spend time and money planning and buying kit for our outdoor pursuits but you would be surprised how many people forget to have even a basic first aid kit onboard when they head out.
We used to be guilty of this but as we are getting older and after a few “near misses” started to think about the need for a first aid kit a lot more. You see our favorite past time is wild camping on top of mountains with a typical walk out time of at least 3 hours and the understanding that carrying anybody down a mountain in search of medical treatment is likely to do more damage to the one doing the carrying than the one being carried we started including a first aid kit in our pack.
Even though our possible accident conditions may seen extreme there are many reasons when a first aid kit is a good idea either for the family camping trip or a full days hiking especially if you have kids along (if there is trouble to be found you KNOW kids will get there first).
From small to big we have listed some of the lightweight camping first aid kits available at the moment.

There is a fair bit of product in this kit and it will happily serve 2 people when dealing with normal bumps, bruises and cuts. Also included is a guide to outdoor medicine.
