If you’ve never heard of ‘Nearly Wild Camping’, its an organization that has camp sites dotted around the UK that are a long way from your typical camping spots. The whole premise is to give people a rougher approach to camping, while offering more security than you’d get by just picking a random place to spend the night (great for kids).

I’ve happily watch them grow over the last few years as they have added more and more venues to their catalog of camp sites (along with a lot of recognition in the camping community).

I have to admit that even though there was a little skepticism at the outset (its been a very long time since I’ve slept any where ‘planned’), it seems I’m now ready to have a go.

Beside being something entirely new, it’ll make a great post for this website.

I just hope they don’t mind me not bringing a tent 🙂 , Watch this Space!
